C.J. Kuan, MD, PhD, FASN, FACP
Board-Certified Nephrologist
Dr. C.J. Kuan is a board-certified nephrologist with extensive experience in kidney disease, hypertension and dialysis care. He has cared for patients in the Puget Sound region for more than 25 years and has practiced with North Sound Kidney Physicians since 2010.
Dr. Kuan earned his medical degree from National Taiwan University and a PhD in Pharmacology from Vanderbilt University. He completed both his Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at the University of Washington.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and is a Fellow of both the American Society of Nephrology (FASN) and the American College of Physicians (FACP). His administrative leadership includes serving as Medical Director of the DaVita Mill Creek Dialysis Unit and Smokey Point Home Dialysis Unit.
Dr. Kuan is affiliated with Providence Regional Medical Center Everett and works across the regional kidney-care community, including DaVita, Northwest Kidney Centers and Puget Sound Kidney Centers. His clinical focus includes chronic kidney disease, hypertension, acute kidney injury, proteinuria, electrolyte and acid-base disorders, glomerular disease, advanced kidney disease and dialysis care.
